Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze marks David Wise's return to Donkey Kong games for the first time since Diddy Kong Racing (aside from his work on the GBA port of DKC3, which everyone hated for some reason). And it is quite a comeback.

These are likely to be taken down at some point since YouTube tends to be keen on shutting down people who upload complete game soundtracks, but until then, enjoy these selections from one of the best game soundtracks in recent years. Some of these feature awesomely modernized renditions of tracks from DKC and DKC2.

This is my new favorite version of this track. And it really tempts me to buy a new N64 so I can play Super Mario 64 again, since mine recently experienced semi-fatal mobo wear-out after 18 valiant years of service.



I guess I do still have the VC version that I haven't touched in forever. Time to dig out the Wii classic controller!

The Mother series has great music. Such great music that they decided to have like fifty battle themes in Mother 3.
