From Science Dictionary
VIEW CONTENT:
"prime number
A positive integer greater than 1 that can only be divided by itself and 1 without leaving a remainder. Examples of prime numbers are 7, 23, and 67. Compare composite number."

I voteed no, since the definition requires that the number be greater than one.

1, 0, and -1 are unique numbers in mathmatics, as 1 and -1 can only be divided by itself and 0 can be divided by anything. Officially I believe 1 is simply a unit. Part of the deal here is that a prime number by definition only has two divisors: itself and 1, however, since (-)1 is both the itself and the 1, it often defies this rule, as any other prime number will always have two different divisors.

But i'll let you all argue this one on your own. Just know that mathmaticians removed 1 from the prime number list sometime during the 19th century.

I'll leave this here while i'm at it

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.
