So for the past few years my neice and I kinda have this gag that started by me giving her a 96 pack of crayons for her birthday and then for xmas as well. So then she gave me the crayons for my wedding and I gave them back to her for xmas again. Well she then gave me an even bigger pack of crayons last year for xmas.

this year... the gag got real.

I've only purchased a 16 pack of crayons for her. However....

That's pretty cool, but top it off... change the crayon box for a toothpaste box or something a kid would hate... stuff it full of the wrapped crayons!

Our family has a Pass the Pigs game that we throw into our white elephant gift exchanges each year. It's always the boobie prize (not that kind, JD) and nobody wants to get it. The rule is that, if you end up with it, you have to throw it in the next year.

For my 16th birthday I think, a close friend of mine gave me a candle as a gag gift. Every year since, we've been giving larger and uglier candles to eachother for birthdays. I believe 2 years ago she gave me a 5lbs 2ft tall solid wax koala (Earwax yellow too). We've been getting progressively worse over the years. It's actually quite amazing.

I just went to a white elephant party and I got stuck with a crappy silly straw christmas cup...
I know someone got a giant 2 pound brick of Reeses that I once held in my hands, but got stolen. Someone else got a toilet paper roll and turds (that were really pieces of thin peanut butter/chocolate brittle). The toilet paper had words scribbled on it that read, "Is there corn in it?"
My present was a pillow pet.... is that keeping it real?

I am very disappointed this thread fails to help me determine whether or not 'real' is kept, much less whether or not I am the one doing said real-keeping.

Put the crayon box in a bigger box with a brick in it and make sure you duct tape the brick in so it can't move around. I pulled that one on a girlfriend in high school with a ring inside it.

I once gave my brother a box, with a piece of paper with the words: Use your imagination. He then proceeded to take the same box and just write underneath it: Guess what? I did, its a present that only a !#&% would give... I think i can top that.

We did a secret santa thing for band this year and for my person I made them go on a scavenger hunt across a whole lot of places with riddles I wrote. All for a lousy gift card.

According to this poll, so far we all believe ourselves to possess the means to aquiring and detaining the universally agreed-upon essence of reality.

I do something like that with my cousin. She gave me a piece of coal a few years back and for the last few years we have done that. Last year she got me good and gave me a 10pound bag of coal. I plan on giving her the ashes from said bag this year. Yes i kept the ashes just for that.
