I watched the Pokemon Origins special a few weeks ago.

Needless to say it was way better than anything the anime series was, currently is, or hopes to be.

Suprevio, we watch all pokemon and sailor moon here. Origins is pretty good, have to agree.

Finally getting around to cowboy bebop. Enjoying the atmosphere.

Zombie thread needs brains! Last seasons picks Aldnoah Zero, Tokyo ESP, Tokyo Ghoul, and Zankyou no Terror look into those. Also just reiterating that Genshiken and the continuation Genshiken Nidaime are both totally awesome and you should look them up and give them a read. Kio Shimoku's art is excellent and his characters are hilarious.

I have been working my way through Hunter x Hunter and haven't watched any anime this last season.
Although it sounds like I'm not missing much. (except for Tokyo Ghoul)

I do miss my days before college when I would watch 20+ episodes of an anime per day. Growing up sucks.

To whom it may concern, Rightstuf is doing their annual holiday sale right now.
It's a trustworthy website if you haven't heard of it, and there are some really good deals right now.

I've been watching anime a lot more this year, so I thought I would attempt to necro this thread.

Favorite anime airing right now
1. Gakkou-Gurashi (Not your typical moe show)
2. Food Wars (Intense competition show about extremely good food)
3. Overlord (Another trapped in an MMO show except it focuses on the action and MMO elements)
Gangsta. might be on this list later if it has a decent ending, but the quality of the show has gone downhill over the course of the season.

Favorite shows of all time
1. Shinsekai Yori (Similar concept to Psycho-Pass except a utopian rural future)
2. Psycho-Pass (Sci-fi crime drama of sorts set in a utopian future where everyone's personality is measured for crime potential)
3. Hunter x Hunter 2011 (A straighfoward shonen show with interesting characters and a fleshed out, complex battle system)

This season I am watching like 10 shows. several good options out there. Charlotte, Rokka no Yuusha, Souma. I hate to admit it but Shimoneta is probably the best show of the season. It shouldn't be. it is so wrong on so many levels, but it has great characters funny jokes and a coherent plot.

Oh yeah, Shimoneta is definitely one of the best of the season and may end up being best of the season depending on how it and the other shows end. I'm also watching Gate and Ushio no Tora, but Gate has been a bit disappointing. Ushio no Tora has been a decent "monster of the week" type show so far.

I have not read the manga, but I'm definitely looking forward to watching OPM. The only other show I plan on watching next season is Owarimonogatari.
