Chatting with the old guard here I'm certain I played here in the TFC days but wasn't really part of the community. Post-TF2 first experience here was getting muted by Checkm8 and Mateo over and over on TV8 Warpath2 every other week because I couldn't stop cursing in voice chat

Either somedude or Plas were my first non-CS or DOD / non-IRL steam friends.

My first Ville Days also began during the Team Fortress Classic era. I played under a different handle "Colonel Corns", and stayed on when TF2 came out. It was 2011 when I wondered, "How do I get me one them there reserved slot thing-a-majigs" I think Blue in Green, YNWA, and Raindrop were my first Villun Steam Friends.

I think it was my brother that found TV8 and suggested it to me back in 2008 when I was first trying out TF2. I played on there for a little over a year, then took a hiatus from TF2 as a whole for close to a year because I was taking it way too seriously and losing any fun value it had. After I felt ready to give it another go, I signed up on the forums and got back into TF2 with the Ville's servers. Unlike others, I still haven't changed my habit of avoiding mic usage.

I think I played in one of the rotation servers then switched to TV3 when it was just KOTH. I still miss that.

First days were playing TFC on Avantiville (join server, enable "auto join", hope to get in & dont leave until your done for the night)

First players...FragFailure, ROOF, Blue Ruler, BadaBing, MikeRotch, Merf, Ktulu, YPAWOM, KRG, JD, CycoMom & Dad. So many more but yeah a lot of names that aren't around any more.

My first days at theville were spent playing exclusively on TV8. This was in early 2011, when TV8 was always full in the evening. I didn't start branching out and joining other servers and events until later in 2011. It's hard to name specific people I played with, there were so many great people on TV8. It's weird thinking that if Uber had not joined this random server with low ping and then invited me, I might have never met any of you people.

When I first started here I pretty much exclusively stuck to TV8 untill I decided to join the site and saw that there were other servers, then I only played on TV8 a vast majority of the time.
