What ever happen to those guys that were doing a half-life fan movie? They made like one 7 minute episode and then a trailer for the next one but it never came out...

What makes this more impressive than the other, similar films, is the sf/x and polish. This is properly posted and synched, only the camera gives it away as non-studio. The others resemble highly talented amateurs, while this is a low budget professional.

It takes an absurd amount of work to do even what we're seeing in this trailer. With a $1200 budget, no surprise it took 2 years! Good stuff, good stuff.

I find it would be really cool to see a full length Black Mesa movie. If these guys were the ones to do it, they would do it right and it SHOULD come out really well. Using the sound effects from the game is simply awesome though. It allows for great immersion.

I am in awe of anyone who could put that video out on a $1200 budget. I've seen plently of low budget horror/sci fi that looked half as good on a few million dollars!

Its really neat to see what can come out of low budget movies. More time and effort is put into it than anything. People pour their heart and soul into somethat will be about 10 minutes long. They really do make for the best movies.

This is the one I was talking about earlier. Another very well done film. Its also a bit older. However, these guys work int he industry and their company is working on a real movie so part II has been getting delayed up the ........
