You might be old if . . .

1. You remember the theme music to Heman/Shera, Carebears, Smurfs, Punky Brewster, etc. the first time around. (Yes, I too have had arguments with my kids that these things were already around before.)

2. If one of your first kisses took place in a Pinto stationwagon.

3. You "walked like an egyptian" "time after time".

4. You played with tinkertoys, constructs (the metal version), and the legos (original editions).

5. Ashamedly, you wore parachute pants, fish net stockings, "helmet hair", blue eyeshadow, and the side ponytail.

1... you remember the day TV went color
2... the day you got your first calculator
3... wearing big collars and flares
4... remember the day of Neil Armstrong's one small step and the accompanying hype on TV
5... the day the Beatles broke up
6... Meccano and Spinners

*sigh*

How about playing Pong, Donkey Kong, table Pacman, & Centipede at the local pizza joint. Who remembers when it was cool to go bowling?

I was in 6th grade, 2000 or 2001 when I saw someone have a cell phone at school for the first time. I remember thinking it was totally outrageous that anyone in 6th grade would ever need a cellphone.

I wonder at what age parents give their kids phones these days?

If you use terms like "MILF" and "cougar" to describe women who might actually be younger than you.
