inb4 someone from Canada makes some comment about Bowls. I just thought I'd get that out of the way now.

Anyway! Bowls are official as of yesterday.

I know we have our share of college football fans here at The Ville, so let's have some fun with bowl predictions and forum points.

The rules are simple:

 Post your prediction of who you think will win each of the 34 bowl games
 Deadline for entries is kickoff of the first bowl game (December 19th, 3:30pm CST)
 Entry fee is 1000 forum points, points will be given to me for entries. You can trust me right?
 Top three records get a share of the pot. How much of the pot is given will depend on how many people play

Click here for the complete list of bowl games.

Let it be known that I am so in. I am so obsessed with college football that more sensible denizens of the Ville might wonder "Man, if he didn't spend so much time with college football, he might actually, you know, play!" Blasphemy and bladderdash I say.

My picks are not yet formulated, but I fully expect my pick percentage to continue its trend of decreasing in proportion to my increase in obsession. But I do predict to still beat Biscuit for the fourth third fourth year running (for what it's worth).

I'll be in, gotta look. I know nothing this year so we'll see if I can pull off the inverse of Aez.

I know some of you are VA Tech fans, right? Their in the Chick Fil-A bowl, so it's my backyard. So, if you're going to try to go, drop me a PM.

Wait, you have pac-10 teams winning games?

Florida over Cincinnati.

I abstain all the rest. I was not a happy camper on Saturday when Florida lost. :( I don't want Texas or Alabama to win the BCS title game. I was it to end in a tie.

I was pretty shocked by the Florida game. I felt that Alabama was better coming in, but McElroy's performance was pretty impressive, especially considering his earlier games. The Texas game on the other hand.... Yeah, it wasn't wise to talk to me after that. I was broiling mad. Goes to figure that I'd have a couple rage/despair games in the end after a surprisingly placid season in Aez's head.

Alabama isn't better than Florida though. They just got terribly out coached.

On that day, Alabama was better. And that was the day that counted.

I'd say what information we have suggests, odds are, Alabama is the better team. Since they'll never play again this season, it's all ee've got.

Dude your nuts if you think that. Stack up position by position in that one and bama is better in 90%. And if you look at in a traditional role of each position its more likly 95%

Also yes I did pick a few Pac 10 teams to win. Im not sure why I just did

I wouldn't say that - not to mention that it's difficult to compare the two teams in that way considering that individual players can have such a disproportionate role (Tim Tebow). And because they play fairly distinct styles of offense and defense so you can't go position by position like that.

However, Alabama did have a better schedule coming in, having played a tougher out of conference slate and the stronger SEC West this year. In addition, they had the "payback" factor, which I can personally say is huge in college sports. I had some other desperate reasons, but those were the big ones. Of course, I was also expecting a nail-biter even game...
