I can only imagine how frustrating and angering this must be for you guys. I truly hope that this can be set to rights with all speed!

Would someone knowledgeable about this problem please post the the information necessary to reclaim stolen accounts?

given the rapid spread of this nightmare it might take a while to get some accounts, I for one dont have much information to give steam to work with.

i cant recall if i had recorded my soul storm cdkey to this, but otherwise i might be screwed.

how do they get hijaked?

someone steals a player's account login info and then uses the account for mean and bad things?

gosh i do hope i don't get hijacked. best of luck and hope it gets resolved fast for you guys, man that sux...

as long as you don't do anything stupid like me, it won't get hijacked. Someone posed as a friend sends me a link to a page to get a free game on Easter, so i stupidly clicked it and logged in. 10 minutes later, I get kicked off steam.

its a website that looks like steams site. be careful and look at the URL for any site someone links you to from your steam friends.

To keep from getting your account hijacked, if you get anything that says you can get free games DO NOT TRUST IT! And yes, I meant to type that in all bold and caps be cause it is so important. That is how people get there account jacked in the first place. It is also a good idea to keep your ville password and your steam password different.

Is there a way to prove that you did purchase the games but cant remember how you paid for them
