According to sources in Pennsylvania squirrels have taken over ground hogs day.
The takeover took place sometime today when puxatony Phil was given two pounds of cheese for breakfast.
This apparently blocked him up and caused him to be late for the annual groundhogs day event.
Authorities were sent scrambling for a replacement. After hearing the news the two remaining ground hogs killed each other.

An eye witness told authorities they were arguing over who cast a bigger shadow.
At a nearby hula hoop event chipper the ground squirrel was asked to perform the annual ground hogs day event.

The event was pulled off flawless with Chipper seeing his shadow and giving us only six more weeks of winter.
Squirrels rejoice around the world because we now have an event named after us.
