You need some updates with Survival Helm's Deep and campaign Suicide Blitz 2

Edit: I'll write em up and maybe you can edit link to them? I demand a point bribe, though.

Just a quick suggestion, perhaps custom Left 4 Dead campaign discussion threads should have a sub-forum. Keeping things neat and orderly. It's a good idea to have this particular thread stickied so we can easily find everything (sort of an index) but before long the campaign discussion threads may overwhelm the majority of the main forum.

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

New Featured Campaign: Suicide Blitz 2

http://media.steampowered.com/apps/l4d2 ... blitz2.vpk

They're not saying anything about it, but the artwork looks neat. The post just reminds everyone that L4D2 is 66% off until 12PM CST tommorow.

Gave it a run through on Advanced, long and somewhat difficult, but very well done, creating conversations with survivor lines, custom music, and voice acting from other sources (I think). The campaign is a little scarce on healing items and ammo, but there's a good supply of weapons and throwables. There was also one magnum per stage it seemed. It takes place mostly in a city, it starts in an apartment, and you work your way through a run-down prison. Then you make your way through this city's various establishments, including other apartments, businesses (both retail and pleasure, there was a movie theater and a bowling alley), a train ride to the second-to-last safe area followed by a long Parish-like rush to reach the hellicopter at the other side of a football stadium. The tank at the end even has a football jersey on.

Took about 1:15 to complete. 2600 zombies were maimed somewhere along the line. Good crescendo concepts (shoot a gas tank to burn a mooring line of a boat upstream, but the fire causes a nearby explosion that attracts the horde), worth playing in my book.

I should make a quick note, I have played the first one on l4d1 and there are some big differences like the boat and freeing it, the jail alarm (I mean the beginning) , and the finale. Overall it's a good campaign and im glad they didnt just redo the stage with small changes.

Also i would recommend downloading from the l4d2 custom maps website, seems to be half the size than the offical blog downloads.

I see this is a pretty old topic but I've played some good custom campaigns lately.

Yama :ville: :ville: :ville: :ville: 1/2 out of 5

Set in Japan. Well designed and lots of custom content. Challenging with various paths. The finale is a bit difficult with continuous tank spawns at one point and that detracts a 1/2 point in an otherwise awesome campaign.

Back to School :ville: :ville: :ville: :ville: :ville: out of 5

A well designed campaign that is exceptionally long. A lot of the events throughout the map are unique and not your traditional hit a switch and wait.

Die Scraper Redux :ville: :ville: :ville: out of 5

Decent multi-level map that takes you through various cityscapes. The helicopter pad at the finale has a strong wind that can push you off which can catch you off guard. You can find a lot of consumables and pickups around the top 2 levels for the finale.

I Hate Mountains :ville: :ville: :ville: out of 5

Primarily an outdoor map (surprise). The levels are long and stretched out. Navigating the map is a bit difficult with multiple pathways and a lot of deadends. The event on the second level takes place in a mansion with entirely too many rooms.

I didn't include Urban Flight or Day Break.
