Steam was unable to sync your files for left 4 dead with Steam Cloud.

I disabled it (steam cloud)but it still is trying to sync with the steaming cloud of garbage...

anyone else have this problem?

For a few days in January I had this problem as well.

When launching the game the same error message would flash on the screen just before the game left the desktop. It didn't interfere with the game though I was experiencing outrageous lag attacks during that time. It stopped showing the error message shortly thereafter (it could have had something to do with a few undocumented updates that happened). Either way, the lag persisted and I ended up deleting everything inside my Steam folder except steam.exe and the SteamApps folder. Since then, smooth sailing.

well i think its been fixed now, had a great game last night and everything seems to be back to normal... *fingers crossed

I still say that you didn't want to play with us the other day when you had these "problems"
