Does anyone ever get their sound screwed up in INS,and it stays that way beyond dying (muffled sounds)?

Happens all the time to me. Go to your console (generally the ~ key) and type:
snd_restart
Should fix it.

I think I've only ever needed it once... but then again, I've shooting maaaaaybe a 50% success rate for starting the game up and connecting to a server. Most of the time it just crashes and leaves me with skipping sound so I have to reboot.
