idk, i think disguising as a scout can work sometimes. they have the smallest body with the shortest gun so if you hide around corners waiting for people disuguised as a pyro, the humongous flame thrower sticking out in the open may give you away. a spy disguised as a scout can hide in tiny corners will relatively little of you visible. It also helps if your opponents are dumb, which could possibly explain my success.

o, and i agree with mr. s. if he sees you, you are pretty much gone. not even cloaking can save u.

When on defense and using the kritzkrieg, double kritz two soldiers. 8 crit rockets > 4 and a shotgun blast.

HELLO YES I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS.

1. There are two different quick animations for Spy when using the knife. One is the Poke Stab in which Spy pokes his knife foward, and the other is the Slice Stab, where Spy slashes his knife left to right.

Does the poke stab reach farther out than the slice stab or does Spy extend his arm the same distance?

Like, if I were trying to get a Pyro and he was a tiny bit ahead of me, if I did the poke stab, would I get him and the slice stab would miss?

2. If you dominate someone as Spy, can the person see your Nemesis icon when cloaked and disguised? NO IT DOESN'T thank you, Mr. S.

3. If you get wet, you end up seeing the person dripping. How long does the water dripping animation last?

I DO HAVE ONE TIP THAT I DON'T THINK ANYONE POSTED YET.

When you run backwards, you lose 10 or 15% (Don't remember) of your speed. So if someone of the same speed catches up with you, IE, you're a Spy or Sniper running backwards trying to get away from a Pyro, the Pyro will be able to catch up with you.

However, if you strafe while running backwards, you recover the lost speed.

And um, it's not absolutely needed, but I find keeping a mask on as Spy at all times is usually a good idea. When you're with your team, disguise as a friendly. A couple of reasons for this:

1. If you're a spy with a mask on, then your team won't have to be paranoid when they see you thinking you're a spy, which means they won't have to use up ammo spy-checking you. (BUT SOME TEAMS STILL DO ANYWAY)

2. If an enemy spy is on your turf and sees a teammate pyro standing all buddy-buddy like with a Heavy, he's going to know it's a spy and report back to his team (Either on Team Chat or Mic) that there's a Spy Pyro. Whenever I go behind enemy lines and see a teammate Demo walk out of enemy spawn, I'll say on my mic that there's a Spy Demo. I don't know if other people do it too, but it's good just in case.

3. If an enemy Heavy sees you and you're disguised as a friendly Pyro, you can quickly go behind a rock or something, cloak, change disguises, and go up behind him. He'll have no idea that Pyro is the same Spy Sniper he's been chasing after.

HOW TO TELL IF THAT GUY IS NOT A SPY:

- If he is shooting, he is not a Spy.
- If he is reloading, he is not a Spy.
- If he is taunting, he is not a Spy.
- If he is wielding a non-primary weapon, he is not a Spy.
- If he passes through you, he is not a Spy.
- If he passes through friendly buildings, he is not a Spy.
- If he glows your team's color while burning, he is not a Spy.
- If he has 100% health, he is not a Spy unless a stupid Medic decided to heal one.
- If he has health in the red, he is not a Spy.
- If a Medic has an ubercharge reading, he is not a Spy.
- If a Heavy is spinning up his gun, he is not a Spy.
- If a Sniper is scoped, he is not a Spy.
- If a Scout is double-jumping, he is not a Spy.
- If a Spy has a mask on, he is not an enemy Spy.

I even shoot my teamates, while I'm heavy, if they say they're not a spy and if they're clearly talking to me.
Heh, steveio you forgot that one. :D

Some tips:

1. Never fight alone, always travel with a teammate or teamates.

2. Snipers have team colored laser-pointers on their rifles, if you see one on a wall the sniper is pointing there.

3. Try to remember the locations of health and ammo packs, they can save your life.

4. As the slower classes, don't stay out in the open for too long. You'll make great sniper target practice.

5. Watch the kill icons in the upper right of the screen, they can give you very useful info.

6. Remember, Pyros can deflect projectiles.

7. Finally, this is Team Fortress 2, work with your team and you will win.

Biggest things that helped me as a player:
Set your FoV to 90degrees (if you don't have a widescreen monitor)
Look through your options and turn on the following if you ever want to play medic:
Lock heal beam on target
Auto-notify (and a relevant health %)
Show heal target's name

It will also help your game if you try out different mouse sensitivities and find one that works for you (I use a 10.5 personally)

STOP SQUIRMING!

Though to be more accurate the Medic should be on fire and right behind the Scout.
