I roll with gunboats primarily. Maps without ceiling like crossroads where the routes are forced to a narrow area allow for awesome 'death from above.' I also use the black box though with them which leaves only two shots while you are up in the air. Despite his dislike of this setup, I can usually only target two shots while up in the air anyway, you are landing by the time you have a chance to fire the third shot. Taking the time to aim is important.

So many places require rocket/sticky jump on the map that having gunboats effectively allows you not to worry about whether you are going to kill yourself on takeoff or landing.
