Dog's Essential Guide to Spectating

I've been thinking long and hard about how to pass on my l33t skills as a Spectator.
It's not the easiest class to play and involves a LOT of practice.

You have to think logically and without passion.
You have to be dedicated yet go off for a coffee and forget to come back.
You have to have patience especially as you attempt to multitask getting kid in bath/getting kid out of bath/reading story to kid/putting kid to bed/getting the water you forgot to get while still sitting in Spec.
You have to be stubborn and bloody-minded.

So to assist you all, I have put together this essential guide that will attempt to demystify and clear away the fog that is Spectating....

Step 1
Chose your server.
Do this very carefully. Failure to do so will mean that you might end up filling a server for another community.

Step 2
Join the server.
In order to Spectate, this step is absolutely necessary.

Step 3
Do NOT join a team
If you do this, you will get kicked after spectating for five minutes. This is where all the noob Spectators have their Epic Fails.

Step 4
Ignore all attempts at communication.
If you get IMs like "WTF Dude, play" or "Dog, are you there?" or "Oh God, Dog is Spectating again" then you will have achieved your Epic L33tness of Spectatorship.

Remember the words of Robert the Bruce:
"When ye canny ha'e the chance o' watchin' a wee spider makin' a web, an' teh wind keps-a-blowin' it away, then be teh Spectator o' teh game an' be teh l33t hax0r...."

Words to live by.

So I wish you all well as you climb the ladder of Spectatorhood.

:D
