The 2.2 patch will be released this Friday. It's basically a fix and tweak patch. I know there have been sneak peaks at the new knight class on the forums. It's a halberd or polearm-type weapon. No word on release yet.
They are looking for beta testers. Also, I think they welcome anyone who could help with coding, rendering etc.

Pirate Sharpshooter
Viking Gestir
Knight Man-at-Arms
Looks really nice! I can't wait!
The 2.2 patch will include some great improvements to the "Holy Grail" game mode (which is my personal favorite). Also, the ability to name your parrot!
I think I shall call mine "Pesto."

I understand the appeal, but the introduction of ninjas would make the game trite, IMHO.
Besides, pirates are clearly better than ninjas.
