Pirates, Vikings and Knights! OH MY!

This mod really draws an international crowd.

We had a guy from the "Russian Federation," and another one from France playing this morning.

All the other servers, you typically see folks from the US and Canada. Every time I play PVK, I see players from countries I don't normally see elsewhere.

I'm going to start keeping track of it. Maybe a little map with pins.

I'm going to start keeping track of it. Maybe a little map with pins. [/quote]From experience in my neck of the woods (internets speaking), few PVKII servers fill up above half. So, when Ville 5 fills up, it draws lonely nerds from all corners.
Once version 2.3 comes out, making PVKII available through Steam, the game should become more popular.

Do I just download the full client 2.2 to play this? I played the really old version at lan parties years ago and it was amazing.

Just download the Client 2.2 Full Install, and if the installer doesn't take care of everything for you, install at C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods (assuming Steam is on C drive).
Then the time'll be ripe ta hail all the lubberly swabs of The Ville to come aboard TV5!

I've got to re download this, I played ages ago but could never find a server.

Still had a hard time finding a server last time I played. Only a few popular servers and the owners run surf maps which immediately kill the server once a set of little kids vote it up.
Don't think the ville server has been used in a couple of months.

I think valve should remake PVK into its full, glorious potential like they did TF2.

Yeah, I feel like it has a lot of potential, but it's a little clunky.
