Knight vs. Pirate: Deadliest Warrior

Post by Raketemensch » Sat Apr 25, 2009 9:21 pm

Anyone seen the "Deadliest Warrior" show on Spike? They do analysis of the effects of various weapons on instrumented human ballistics models, then integrate those into actual combat with experts in the fighting styles using training weapons. Here's a video of a knight with a morningstar:
streaming video clicky

The full knight vs. pirate show is tuesday nite at 10....

lol i still call BS on the fact that the spartan beat the ninja

A: its broad daylight, a place ninjas would never be
B: ninjas never go face to face with an enemy

its a good show but i think that fight program has some flaws.

Yeah i watched the spartan/ninja one tonight...turns out there isn't any actual combat between the "fighting style experts", they just run computer sims. Lame. Now if they had plugged their numbers into something like PVKii and let gamerz do the sims instead of the AI... 8)

THIS

i doubt their simulator can account for all of the variables in combat. Very entertaining show tho, especially the Blunderbuss :D
