Garrys Mod server

cool, i really should consider to buy that game. didn't know that you are even able to host a server and build stuff together.

I've been eying up Garry's Mod for a while now... very tempting...

Garry's Mod is hard to describe. For those who are willing to learn it's tools and many quirks, it's amazingly deep. Just ask one of us to load up some of our creations from the server sometime. There is quite literally close to nothing you can't build in Garry's Mod. I've built a party boat, a couple of planes, started with a passenger jet chassis, a fighting robot, a mobile cannon, and a pretty wicked spinning blade.

If you can imagine it in your head, you can find a way to build it in Garry's Mod. It may take time, and you may screw it up a couple times, but the end result can be something you can be proud of, something YOU built.

Then Dog can wreck it in seconds!

Remember to use the Duplicator Tool!

OR. You can spawn several dozen barrels and blow them up. Spawn TF2 ragdolls and put them in funny positions. And there is something to be said for jumping in when a few people are on the server to see what's going on. You just never know. Long distance firefights? Thrilling robot combat? Once I joined the server right in the middle of an all-out, every-man-for-himself Antlion invasion! There's always something to do

EDIT: Oh yeah, Lil SU has surpassed my knowledge by pestering Stevo and Carpe, I am sure. He can make gates and weird wire stuff that I barely understand.

I'll post all the resources and stuff you might need soon. In the mean time, you can download this pack (extract to Steam\SteamApps\[user]\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons), which includes everything that you won't automatically download from the server.

I'm trying not to be a griefer myself, but it's hard. Alot of things in that game need alot of practice and know-how to use *COUGHCOUGHWIREMODCOUGHCOUGH*

Until I have a wave of patience to try and figure something out again, I'll just remake the Rocket Rustbucket and chase a soccer ball around with a crowbar. ^_^

It's OK, Buzzy. Wiremod mystifies me too, but I can still have plenty of fun with the normal tools given me. Sure, I can't make big fancy stuff like Stevo and Lil SU can, but my clunky old Pyrobot has bested some of Stevo's creations a couple times
