Why did the RPG CSS server die?
Why did the RPG CSS server die?
How come we stopped running the RPG server for CS? I know there was a vote, but there are thousands of servers that run nothing but regular games. I felt like TheVille was a great RPG server..
If indeed I have to let it go, does anyone know any other good RPG servers?
Thanks

Well rpg servers dont exactly make new players feel welcome when the level 100+ bots just own them constantly...

yeah pigeon you're totally right, its not easy to get started on RPG servers. def something you had to work towards, but that was one factor that brought the same players back again and again.
are you guys aware of any other good RPG servers up? was the one TheVille ran unique to this server?
(i played with mujo a bunch all last summer. good times)

Incidentally, I was playing a little CS:S this evening and a guy showed up specifically asking if this was a CS:S:RPG server, and he apparently remembered that it was from the past and seemed disappointed that it wasn't.
If we were speaking, I think the above run on sentence might have caused me to run out of breath.

What was the RPG mod like that was being used? There is a regular CS server that I frequent called something like 711 coca cola respawn which has a pretty fun rpg mod. You spend money to gain credits that you can use to buy upgrades which last until the end of the map and you can also bank your money. The way it works out there isn't to much of a gap between the new and the old players.
