How to play TFC - Murderball

Post by l3eeron » Mon Jan 14, 2008 10:06 am

In Team Fortress Classis there is a great fun map called murderball...

There are 4 teams (red, blue, yellow, green). The object it to grab the soccer ball and bring it to your base and hold it there as long as you can.

There is ALWAYS one thing that will destroy this game:

DO NOT SHOOT THE TEAM THAT DOESNT HAVE THE BALL!!!

If blue has the ball in their base, dont run around shooting all the other teams. The whole point of the map is to pin 3 teams against the 1 team with the ball. It can be tempting to backstab that green soldier, but everyone needs to team up against blue

*** When the ball is out on the field (not in anyone's base) THEN it's a free-for-all-frag-fest-every-man-for-himself!

Dont be a chump and frag your allied teams

For real, sometimes you need those other guys to break the defense in the base with the ball.

Snipers can ruin a good round of Murderball as well.

Spaceball was always an insane play. I used to love the bouncing Detpacks.

That map is the best when theres a good battle going.

We can try for a serious battle but lets be realistic. How serious can a battle be with a bunch of no skilled <eVa> guys?

I remember a murderball cup way back when, and <PWG> taking it. I really do miss these kind of maps. I wonder if TF2 is ever planning on implementing a green / yellow team so there could be a remake.
