haha i remember those "presents"

...when i first started TFC all i knew was my graphics card was called a TNT and i was on a 56K robotics modem. it was my dads comp so i didnt know too much about the specs. the first rig i built had a thunderbird processor and a GeForce 2 i believe. what's funny is that i kept the same keyboard all these years and just recently replaced it. i'd hate to see what type of organisms brewed beneath the keys.

TNT was nVIDIA, wasn't it? I eventually replaced my Voodoo3 with a nVIDIA 32MB card (can't remember the chipset). I liked my nVIDIA card; however, I've bought ATI ever since then.

Lots of people have asked me that. I can't remember. I changed names almost daily and never registered on the forums. I seem to recall using "TarsTarkas", "MCwRENn" and "Fonky" among many other nicks. I played the DoD beta 1.0 (no Ville server then ), NS and Tribes in addition to TFC. Tribes became my favorite game pretty quick although I still played alot of TFC and DoD.

Now that I think about it, I was probably pretty heavy into Tribes when the Ville forums were fist put up. That might be why I never registered.

And I still have "issues" with my head getting handed to me on a regular basis by the aformentioned FF.
My therapist says that's the root of most of my problems. :bash:

Ah Avantiville, the memories live on. Have always like those gift-wrapped presents from the Demo's around the holidays or birthdays.

I'm hoping to see a bunch of TFC vets return once TF2 is released. :D

And JD should be banned if he plays the sniper.

TFC, with its team-based, class-oriented style of game play, was around when deathmatch was still relatively new.

It was completely revolutionary, and unlike any other game at the time.

EDIT: After re-reading my post regarding my TFC nicks, I also remember using the nicks "ToiletTea" (inside joke) and "AlabamaSlamma". Also, since someone asked me the other night, I was never a member of =US-V=, TVB, PWG or any other clan/guild/etc. (although, I think I wore the ~TPF~ for awhile) I didn't do anything but play.

I think I started playing on TheVille shortly after it became TheVille. TFC was the first online game I ever played and TheVille was the first server I became a regular on. I remember the NeoTF stuff which I thought was pretty awesome. 8)

My system specs (laptop):
Windows ME :yuk:
P3 800MHz
128MB RAM
Integrated S3 Savage video
56k modem
