Anyone having mic problems?

Post by Thom Yorke Obliterator » Mon Mar 23, 2009 8:26 pm

Has anyone else been having mic problems in TFC? My mic works just fine in Source games (and everything else, for that matter), but TFC doesn't even seem to recognize it's there. Any ideas?

Mine doesn't work either. Same thing, works in everything else just fine...well actually, dod 1.3 didn't work for me either. Seems to be with hl1 games.

Not sure if it's something with my mic being a usb mic or not. Is there some kind of command that changes the voice input device in the console?

You could be on to something there. Mine is a USB mic, too.

Yeah, something makes me think that the game is defaulting to the soundcard input instead of the usb even though windows is set to use the usb. It's weird though, because I remember it working in dod 1.3 when we had the mini cup. Stupid valve probably changed something.

Seems that switching the usb port that my mic was plugged in worked. Odd, but its working now.
