Been working on a new map, thought I would post a few screen shots just to give you all a look at it and maybe a little feedback.

It looks beautiful. It would probably be relaxing if not for the crit rockets.

Looks really neat, Hammer. Let us know when we can take it out for a test run.

Thanks All, hopefully, I'll put together another compile this weekend. I'm fine tuning some troublesome shadows and trying to balance out the frame rates. The large open areas I'm pulling from 70 to 100 fps and upwards of 200 plus in the tunnels and caves. Optimize, optimize, .......optimize.

Actually, if you follow my concept, the map was suppose to be a jungle that transitions to a swamp after Blue and Reds mining operations destroyed the forest. I used the new swamp textures and models provided by TF2.net along with the jungle models they have there.

I would use more fauna to better represent a jungle but as this thing is already huge, people with lesser machines would be churning along at 20 fps if I put in everything I wanted. I actually thought about creating some kind of "jungle" texture that would show up in the skybox and give the perception of a much larger jungle but to date, I haven't quite wrestled how to pull that off.

Currently cleaning up some messy nodraw architecture and a pesky areaportal that always reports it's in two areas but it never show as a leak. I'm hoping it's just a vbsp bug.

I thought I noticed some of the swamp trees in there.

Looks good though Hammer! Can't wait to see it out. This is almost giving me inspiration to finally finish my CTF map.

Judging by the apparent symmetry, it looks 3-5 attack/defend to me.

Oh yeah, sorry I didn't answer on that, Ian is correct, 5 point control point with 4 spawn points per side.

After taking a closer look at the pictures, I decided that the palm trees might work if you muddied up the leaf texture's color to less of a vivid green.
