[DODS] Map request!

Post by Dog » Sat Dec 05, 2009 12:58 pm

I'm looking for an mapper (as you know my mapping skills suck!) to create a L4DoD map!

I don't even know if this can be done...but something like this:

1. Dark sky (doesn't matter as the plugin will re-do the sky anyway) - very very foggy! very short field of view
2. Zombie (Axis) spawns are in a giant circle around the outside of the map, hidden by trees/forest/cornfield
3. In the center is a building in which the Allies spawn. The walls are breakable
4. Not far from the building is a flag which the Zombies will try and cap
5. The Allies have to defend the flag
6. Plenty of crates behind which Allies can hide

A bit like the defend maps for L4D!

Any takers?

What do you think of Mod. The ville purple fight map to what you need? with the defending flag in box in the middle of the map?

ohhhh

I think I want to try this!

I like l4dod!

Let me screw with it, I haven't mapped for dod in a while, but I think I can get it. I'll throw together something rough to get the scale down.

I've never actually tried to mod for DoD:S, but it'd be interesting to give it a shot.....at some point in time. Have like two maps on the go right now as it is!

I've got a map in the works too that, with any luck, should be great fun. However, I'm learning how much detail you need to put in to a DoD:S map versus a TF2 map to make things look good. :P

And I'd also better talk to B to make sure that I'm not doing the exact same thing he is.

Mapping between the 2 with the details are quit diffrent.
