cp_waterfront (WIP)

Post by wirtzenator » Fri Jul 17, 2009 6:48 pm

Since it's almost ready to playtest I figure I will get this up and see what your thoughts are.

I uploaded a video to youtube of me running through the level:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQs8nr3-X3g

Here is the BSP file (now updated to a14, almost ready for beta!!!):
http://www.cptibs.com/tf/maps/cp_waterfront_a14.bsp
I decided to upload it anyway. I know there is a lot of minor as well as major things that need to be changed, so go easy on me.

I've played the map, and it is very well done!

Of course, it's going to be a pyro's nightmare with all the water in it.
I am the 1%!

thanks. But I think all the places with shallow water, where you don't go under, doesn't put out the fire.

Looks good! I admire the spiral staircase, for one. I'll look forward to the bsp release.

I uploaded the latest BSP, check the first post for it. I'm off to bed for the night, and I will probably see you all tomorrow, thanks!

I'll run through it myself and give it the same treatment I gave Ian's map.

Well it's a bit too early in development for me to say much but uhhh I can still nitpick.

Other then the waterway (which probably shouldn't be relied on) there is only one way into the middle from that building. There should be 2 to prevent players from being spammed in.

Minor nitpick, can't wait to see where this goes.

Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I went ahead and added another passage. This should also make it slightly quicker in getting the the middle point.

could be in like a week or two. I still have some stuff to finish in the Blue final point before this can be moved to beta stages.
