I'm pretty sure that Nick and Itchy wanted camping trip to replace ctf_turbine, Silver.

It's a pending change:

July 6th, 2009
Not much has changed from last week (we're still waiting for changes to get pushed through), but in an effort to get updates back on track, here's the latest info.

Pending Changes:
Here's the pending (updated) changelist I'll be sending on to Silver:
* PL maps (stovepipe, mill, halfacre) max round limit changed to 2 (maybe?)
* A/D maps (avantiville, silvertrail, furnace) max round limit changed to 2
* ARENA (harvest) max round limit changed to 10
* CP/CTF maps max round limit changed to 3
* ctf_turbine removed
* avantiville updated to latest version
* camping_trip updated to latest version (maybe?)

Questions or concerns, drop them in here.

Maps to Watch:
Here's a couple maps that ferret's found. Take a look at them, download them, run around a bit, and tell us what you think!

TV2 FAIL:
Well, we've fallen behind in a lot of ways this week. First, the updates haven't been coming as often as they should be - and that's largely my fault. The updates here are set to be released every MWF, and this past week we only got Monday. That's a 33% - failing by just about any standard! Though that ended up being nice for Plinko, since he got to hold on to PotW for an extra week.

Also, seeding has fallen a bit behind. There were only a few days that we managed to fill the server and keep it that way for any length of time. Part of that is assuredly because of the holiday, but part of it is also just because we've been getting a bit lax.

The Seeding Group also hasn't picked up any new members this week, whereas in the past, it had been getting a new member almost daily. We need to reach out not only to TV regulars, but also to new players that grace the server. Be friendly!

In other words, we all need to step up our game a little bit. TV2 isn't going to re-revive itself![/quote]

You mean it's not in the voting rotation but it's loaded on the server?

Anything else, let me know. I may miss these posts so please PM like you guys been doing.

Thanks for the support. We appreciate it! We can't thank you enough.

Turbine.... removed? Well, I guess it makes sense since it's in standard rotation.

Well the only reason we kept turbine was because no one could find a half-decent ctf map. It was filler like fastlane until we could find a decent custom to replace it. Fastlane was replaced quickly by cp_yukon, cp_waste and cp_follower all of which win the vote 90% of the time along with freight.

Well that and we loved it and everyone else on the ville apparently hates that map

I'm not sure why we didn't add camping trip when it was in b5v2 though..... gonna have to ask Infy on that one.

O well, all that matters is that it's finally on the server now.

Well Ian, I think you've done something special here. From my brief playtime on TV2 and the fact that it's one of the highest rated maps, I think you're pretty close to being done here and calling it the final.

There is ONE LAST NITPICK I have (currently, I reserve the right to nitpick some more).

The zipline! There are 2 classes that would love the zipline, spy and pyro, but they can't access it :(.

My final (unless I find something) suggestion is to make that line accessible by all classes. Pyros feel a bit weak on that map so giving them a little ambush route wouldn't hurt.

O wait one more thing (ok I lied). Some people were getting lost saying "ZOMG where's the intel" initially so maybe just a sign on the cabin saying "Intelligence" and another sign pointing to the basement saying "Intelligence" and then we should be done in the sign department.

Heh, very well then. With a bit more testing of the alternate route, I'm ready to *drumroll*

Call this map a wrap! AHAHAHAHAanyway, I'll be sure to make that route accessible.

Well you can call it RC but I wouldn't call it final just yet....you know just in case something is wrong...

That's why we've got to thoroughly test B8.

And without a whole lot of fanfare, I turned around and polished B8 into a final release. Good work, everyone!

Alright Ian!
Friends made are never forgotten. Even if we grow apart or move on from this life, the fun times we spent together was all worth it.

Hold the phone, there's something I'd like to change in this (surprise, surprise). To avoid conflicts with people downloading it in its current state, I'm going to have to work as fast as possible.

UPDATE: Done. The new lights should now be perfect. Should be. -_-
