Aaaaauuuughhh! I'm so close to finishing my first map, and YET!
"Entity 2462: func_areaportal can only be a single brush"
The solution might seem obvious, but what can you do if you have visgrouped every single areaportal out of the picture in order to find the problem?! The entity number keeps changing, and the sweat keeps flying. I have no idea what's going on here, but the error doesn't appear when I have all my areaportals active somehow. Unfortunately, I'm currently trying to find an offensive brush that somehow crashes the engine, and I need to disable some areaportals for that.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Turns out visgroups are not all powerful. After reloading the file, I discovered that a ton of brushwork that should have been in the error testing visgroup were not, even though they had been added to the group before saving. Lo and behold, two areaportals were amongst those brushes.
However, I will take this accident to announce that Platform 1 is moving vastly ahead of schedule and will be ready for a play test before Christmas.
