I was going through my old Youtube videos....
I think we can all see some similarities between DoDS-RPG and L4DoD
I was hoping we had some footage of the prop disguise feature Dog wrote... We had so many hours of hilarity with it!
(sorry for the bad quality, they're almost 4 years old, I didn't know what I was doing)

Re: Glimpses into the future
The RPG stuff was pretty horrendously programmed, when I look back at it.
Lots of stupid stuff that made it hard to play - like having to know all the different commands.
At least L4DoD is pretty simple to figure out!
The store part is similar, that's for sure.
My happiest memory is chatting one night to Gator and was talking about the stuff you could do. The map was Strand so I turned the whole team into toilets (you could do that in Eventscripts). Nothing as hilarious as watching an entire group of toilets attack...
But Eventscripts was (and still is) very, very unstable and many great plugin ideas were lost because of its instability.
