I might look for a better map than Ava.
The bots have issues going through doors - something to do with the hit box. Wouldn't be an issue if VALVe could let us make the bots fire a weapon individually....but they don't.
The bots are all on bot_flipout, meaning they run around aimlessly firing a weapon. I just modify their direction of movement and my code and the bot_flipout code are always fighting one another - hence the twitching/spazzing.

So a good chunk of the map in Ava is useless because it's indoors and the bots can't go in. Argentan would have the same issue because they spawn indoors.

Some maps that might work (because of their lack of doorways and houses) and I'll try to set up waypoints:
Anzio
Donner
Donner_tank (might be an interesting one to play)
Flash_tank
Drizz
Highlander
Kalt
Any arena map

The only problem is that only admin have been able to change stuff. Is there any way you can get supporters on this so we can change the map?

Last night playing Source we may have stumbled upon another map that could be used in the mod, farmer(s). It is a somewhat flat map which is focused on several farm sites with large fields of CORN and WHEAT that would mask the location of zombies but should not hinder their ability to find you.

Big thanks to gator, Stevo, Jim and Giz for helping me playtest tonight.
Found a couple more bugs but it helped me test a few new features:
* weapon and health drops....when a Zombie dies, you can pick up ammo or health they leave behind
* Zombies now 'jump' if they meet an obstacle...a few jump too well as Stevo found out

After the playtest, I need to reduce the ammo on MGs, fix the speed bug, get bots to throw away weapons when empty and do some more tweaking to try and make the game as challenging as possible.

I figured out how to do a Boomer like vomit so I'll play around with it for a while.

Anyone any good at Modelling?

It should be in the custom rotation that Stevo setup. I believe if was called farmer or farmers.

Another epic test today with Nuckin, Stevo, Torven and Red Seal. Got steadily harder and harder to kill the buggers and was no longer a Jim Beam Killfest. But with teamwork, we did win a couple of rounds!

A few modifications.
The Zombies will try to jump up to get you. If they can't get there, they'll teleport in behind you. This is great for the MG users who like to camp...!

The health of the Zombies now goes up every time you kill them. In the past, they didn't because of a stupid bug! Now you have to get out there and get the flags quickly.

I'm gonna give up trying to replicate Left4DoD and come up with our own Zombies.

Zombie idea #1: Suicide bot....will run up, and if in range will explode and anyone injured will get a nice overlay. You could call it the Emo...:lol:

Zombie idea #2: Gives off gas when in range of humans - anyone affected would end up with thirdperson view making it hard to run

This guy (who faintly looks like Hitler.... *sigh*) is a suicide Zombie (OK OK it took me ten minutes to decompile the stupid model, change the VMT and recompile and it shows...)

If he gets close to you, he'll explode. Useful to have as he also kills Zombies around him!

Also changed the plugin to allow up to 8 players depending on the server...but as the player number goes up, the Zombie health does as well.

Have added waypoints for Donner.
