Your Goals Against for us says 2. We didn't allow any goals.

You also have to take the map into consideration. Egypt is a lot smaller and more conducive to scoring. Foooootball is huge and the cube gets behind the stands 90% of the time, leading to lower scores.

Perhaps.
But the three games last night were a lot different from last week.
There were a lot less death match tactics being played this week. Maybe Egypt was too small, meaning death matching was more likely.

Well, the map was wide open so the cube had more of a chance to move around. With the people so spread out there was less killing. On Egypt, it's so close and small that you *have* to kill people to score.

Perhaps we could just do the classic soccer field map for the final.

That's actually a good point. Will we know the map ahead of time?

The map size was a huge factor, as well as short respawn times and the bad design element of the stands. There also was a ton of room behind the goal, the cube spent a lot of time in the 'corners' and then rolled behind the stands where it got jammed up. The map was designed, probably unintentionally, to funnel the cube into places where scoring was impossible.

Getting killed got you from one side of the map to the other faster than a scout could run it, meaning killing people had only a marginal effect on your ability to score.

I remember two occasions where I managed to get behind people and kill 5-7 people, but we still couldn't score because opposing players spawned faster than we could get the cube out from behind the stands and in front of the goal.

The fact was, we did dominate DM-wise and if someone had kept possession time, we probably dominated 3 or 4 to 1 on attack time in both games, but it was nearly impossible to score.
We got two quick goals in the first game before the other were totally situated, after that we played over 30 minutes where no one scored.

Instant Respawn should be a no-no in Cube Soccer.
