My fiancee's is "tolerant" of my hobby.
But it seems she would rather have me at home in my office than at the bar.

You need to set the expectations early in the relationship.
She knew I was a computer nerd when we first met....so now, years later, it is still ok.

No woman can change you (or man - goes same for the other way, or, if you are into that gay thing, which is fine too) - and if you can't game or spend your "me" time doing something you have always loved, it will only cause problems later in life.

Best thing that seems to work are dedicated nights to "dates" and dedicated "me" times.
I think there are a number of people here who do that, and it works out nicely.
