Vanilla! Been practicing my stock spy...I can't wait to face you chumps without your precious jarate, pomson, mad milk, and uh, uh...

Oh yeah, playing pyro against you chumps without your precious targe, jarate and mad milk!

Chocolate will be interesting too...but are we allowing reskins? Would the original count as stock?

Strawberry sounds familiar...not sure why....feels like I may have done it before....

The Original is not just a reskin - it changes the firing mechanic by relocating where the rocket fires from. Not allowed in Vanilla, A-OK in Chocolate.

True reskins are... not something I really like for either Chocolate or Vanilla. The goal of Vanilla is to replicate the experience and appearance of the original game, as nearly as possible. Reskins succeed in the first, but not the second. The goal of Chocolate is to change both the experience and appearance of the original game. Reskins succeed in the second, but not the first. I guess if people gotta use 'em in one, put them in Chocolate, but if you can save them for Strawberry (where anything goes), that'd be best!

This is why I like to have stock/vanilla nights - we're all so attached to our alternative weapons that we can't stand the idea of using stock! :-D

Stock = just the default basic gray default weapons.

I know ordinary stranges don't affect gameplay and look the same, but like hats, kudos for not using them. Botkillers are cosmetically different, so definitely none of those!

I feel the easiest way for everyone to stop questioning what is allowed in vanilla is to get valve to break the items servers during the time of the event ;)

It's a shame we can't turn off airblast for a more authentic vanilla experience. Of course we'd also have to limit engies to level one TPs and dispensers too (not to mention the inability to move their gear).

Also, changes to ammo capacity for Solly and Demo, health regen for medic, and a number of other tweaks :-D Maybe somebody out there has a true "stock" plug-in, but I'm content to go with what we've got :-D

The poor pyro has been nerfed so many times. I used to have 2x hrs at pyro as medic (90 vs 45) but switched to medic nearly full-time after backburner nerf. Pyro morphed from awesome offensive class to support class over time. I basically stopped playing it after getting pyromancer achievement (July 2008). Yes, I'm an old coot.
