BReVaHEART - Fun Night

Post by Boss Llama » Fri Sep 06, 2013 11:09 pm

The Eternal Ville Alliance is proud to present:
Image

For the glory of the Scots/English! (circle one)

Sunday, September 22nd, 2013, at 8PM Ville (Central) Time

Maps will be the three Braveheart themed KOTH maps - Falkirk, Stirling, and Scone, and whatever else people feel like.
Only
medieval-style melee weapons are to be used.

This is a fun night - just show up and whack each other with sharp objects until you've had your fill!

So i'm assuming this is a list of medieval style weapons:
Eyelander
Claidheameah Mor
Scotsman's Skullcutter
Three-Rune Blade
Fists
Amputator
Ham Shank

Or will it be like last time where only Demos and only the Caber is banned?

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

Being a fun night, there aren't going to be many "rules" per se, but you have the right idea. No explosives and no ranged weapons, probably frown on spies - anything else is fair game, with kudos for using medieval-type things. In addition to your list, the pyro axes would also fit, as would the pain train, sun on a stick, Boston Basher, pick-axes, sniper knives, etc. Anything that looks the part and is fun for everybody!

No ranged weapons? The full Medieval Medic loadout includes the crossbow (of course it can both heal and kill)!

I humbly submit the katana for inclusion, as well. Pre modern versions appeared around 900 AD, with the word katana first being mentioned around 1200 AD.

Also, did anyone notice the hidden message Alizee included in his announcement that points to the true sponsorship?

Absolutely! It is is a well known fact that William Wallace hired mercenary ninjas to fight against Edward I's elite samurai feudal barons. The katana would be most appropriate.

So long as it's one of the ones Coyote linked, it should work. You're not allowed to use a pan with a modern non-stick coating!
