Couple questions:

Golden Apple, the one made with nuggets or blocks?

Fill an 8x8 dock of lilypads with stone blocks? Like what, stone on top the lily pads? I'm confused.

Just a regular golden apple, it can be crafted.

The lilypads one I can assume it's to make a 8x8 thing of lilypads and put stone blocks on top of them.

One more thing to mention that I didn't mention in the main post, we will be using default settings for the map.

Game Mode: Survival
Generate Structures: On
World Type: Default
Allow Cheats: Off
Bonus Chest: Off

The stones over the lilypads will appear to float, as the lilypad occupies the entire block beneath it. Makes it easy to see that it's actually an 8x8 of each.

Blegh - everybody and their Lapis! I had 4/5 within about 30 minutes after starting (4th column, everything but Lapis), and didn't even find a single Lapis ore until 5 minutes before Iggy posted. Then it was 17 Lapis - not quite enough for even the 2 block square, much less the 4 block. Had 3/5 on the 5th column as well, but my Nether portal opened nowhere near a fortress.

Ah well, them's the breaks. Congrats to the lead finishers! I'm out
