I could only make it for the toyfort shenanigans and mojave last night. I thought Mojave was OK, I'm really not a fan of the 2 point A/Ds at all as a map concept - the custom ones all make me appreciate dustbowl more.

I'm sad I had to miss furnace, I remember the betas and it was a very well designed map that was so incredibly boring texture-wise it actually made playing it less fun.

I'm a little terrified that digging Whale Race out of the heap of old custom maps turned out to be so popular.

Any other opinions on duel2_ex_br1? The giant room that filled with water?

It's Wednesday once again...

And I have given no thought to a maplist for tonight, sorry. Unless anyone else has suggestions, it's Player's Choice this week. :P

Sorry for the lack of updates and stuff about this. Steam Sale games and such have been dominating me.

This week I hope to get some more maps on the server for playing. This week will be Krazy KOTH Day.

KOTH_Mineland_v4 - A Minecraft-themed map suggested by UberPancakes
KOTH_Vanguard_b5 - Construction-themed. Remember to download KotH version b5 and not the CP or Event version from the link.
KOTH_Chasm_b1 - Alpine Night themed. The point is directly next to a deathpit. Shenanigans ensue.

Steam sale got me too, but I will try to remember to show up for this.

Unfortunately, this week is another player's choice week.

I've been busy with a sort-of job all week and haven't had time to view custom maps or think of a schedule for this week. Hopefully you guys have fun voting for your own maps.

So what happened last week? I showed up and someone said it was happening on Friday, so I left. On Friday I didn't see anyone on the custom server.

Gearloose, while of course we can attempt to seed TV2 anytime, the official Custom Map Night is always on Wednesday at 9 PM central. We played last week for over an hour during that window so I'm not sure what happened.

Apologies to those who showed up tonight (August 8). Us admins have all been so busy with last minute Villympics stuff we let the Wednesday night event slip through the cracks this week. We probably won't plan anything specific for next week either but I'll try to be there to change maps and stuff.

Wait, Villympics are coming? I should pay more attention to the forums.

Alright, lets get things back rolling again this week. I'd like to see us try another 5CP map. We scored with Antiquity so maybe this one will be a hit as well:

Looks like it has potential. We'll need a crowd though - it looks large.

Sorry I've been missing for the last couple of weeks - family visiting. I have a only brief respite before it happens again.

The funny thing to me about Snakewater is that my pathfinding on my first playthrough was easy... got to the center, capped it, went to the other team's second point, then backed off so it wouldn't cap out. Mostly unopposed.

It was only once I started spawning from the intermediate spawn that the whole thing with the contradictory arrow signs became apparent.

Not a bad map though.

I liked it a bunch. I agree there were some misplaced or miscolored arrows, and I would have liked one or two more sniper spots on each side (especially at the last point), but overall I think it's great - as good as Antiquity.
