Re: TF2 Custom Map Nights!
I was thinking for this week, we just do Escarpment and Quagmire.
"So what have you been up to, man? Haven't seen you in so long!"
"Ah, you know how it is. Doin' a lot of side projects, some consulting, maybe a little freelance... Those are words that people say when they haven't actually been doing anything, right?"

How does everyone feel about this lineup for tonight?
PL_Escarpment
CP_Furnace
PL_Quagmire
Followed by the obligatory wind-down shenanigans maps?

Re: TF2 Custom Map Nights!
Hmm.
How does this sound:
cp_mojave_b2
cp_antiquity_rc1
plr_frostfell_b1b
Mojave is on the rotation, but I don't see it played much (plus it got updated). Antiquity seems to be everyone's favorite custom 5cp map. And Frostfell is the highest scored PLR map in the Dynamic Payload contest (it also came 2nd overall), so I think we could give that a try.
Also, remember to be on the lookout for cool custom maps we could try here at TheVille! Suggest them!

Re: TF2 Custom Map Nights!
I'll suggest Rivercrossing again, but that's best once we've passed 8v8.

Ya if we start with Toy Fort or something less serious it can also help bring in the crowd before we move on.Flaming Cheese Wheel wrote:I'll suggest Rivercrossing again, but that's best once we've passed 8v8.

Re: TF2 Custom Map Nights!
I recently played this map and found it to be a good payload map.

May have been just because I was not being killed by any pyros. (I was spy)

Re: TF2 Custom Map Nights!
Antiquity:
We still can't go wrong with Antiquity.
Mojave 2:
Still not that much of a change from the previous version. Average?
Frostfell:
Disclaimer: I really don't like payload race maps. Really, really, really don't like.
That said, Frostfell demonstrated that teams without coordination will die horribly, and that setting up the final point on a giant ramp next to the enemy spawn is... problematic.
I put up Rivercrossing after the crowd died down a bit. It was a hard-fought game despite one team being shut out... I would say that it is designed reasonably well in becoming more defense-friendly as the cart progresses along, but the final point is still a deathtrap for any Blue team that doesn't have at least two Medics or which knows the side routes very well.
Oh, and Darklin0: We did Escarpment last week.
