With the holidays and the Ville Cup coming to a close, it's time for MeleeMania to resume! Pyros will fight this time in a Homewrecker Doubles tournament!
Here are some things you should know:
Players sign up individually, pairs will be determined when the bracket is created. Deadline for signups is Thursday, February 24th. The teams will be posted the following Friday. Once teams are decided, the team can choose to share a theme song. Otherwise, two songs can be used. If you don't have a Homewrecker, loaners can be given out. Anyone who complains about how MeleeMania is different compared to 2008 will be forced to sing and/or be ridiculed. Bronze Fox, TheCarpe, Dirty Dan, and Alizee Fan have automatic berths for finishing in the top four last time. MeleeMania is Sunday, February 27th at 8pm in the Events Server (events.theville.org)It's been a while since we've done team fights, so here's a reminder of the rules:
Additional Rules for Team Fights
We will remind you all of the rules when it's time to fight, but here they are so there are no surprises.
This is a survival style fight. Teams decide which player will lead off and those two players will fight 1v1. When a player falls their teammate will take over. The enemy player will not get to heal. This continues until a team is defeated, then the players will be healed and the next round will begin. Fights will be best of 5 rounds and the finals will be best of 7 as usual. The winning team will fight each other 1v1 for the Gold Belt. All other MeleeMania Rules still apply.To sign up, reply to this post like a Pyro would!
