In this day and age, gasoline is an expensive and highly sought-after resource. We use it in cars, boats, planes (Not quite, but something similar), and even generators. Even worse, with the zombie apocalypse on the horizon one day, shouldn't we all start depleting our 401Ks, selling all our worldly possessions, and instead start purchasing gasoline, ammo, and canned food? This person thinks so!
Well, whether or not you choose to take financial advice from someone who'd trade you his computer for the last steak in the world, it is a cheesy pretext to announce out L4D2 Scavenge (Mini)Tournament!
Rules are as follows:
1. The event will take place on January 17th, 2010, with the first match starting at 6:00PM VST (CST).
2a. Teams will be picked a few days in advance of the event. The formula for team selection is something that must remain secret, as it was developed in secret laboratories scattered in various locations. These laboratories were filled with monkeys of varied intelligence levels working on typewriters for an undisclosed amount of time. These formulas guarantee team balance, team enjoyability, and a 24% chance of brownies. Please confer with Jim, Masakari, or Thorn for further inquiries.
2b. If you want to sign up as a substitute, feel free. Jim and myself can and will sub if needed, but hopefully we won't have to.
3. Each team will participate in the initial Round Robin, with the number of games and number of rounds per game determined by the number of signups.
4. Each team will be responsible for taking screenshots at the end of the round to prove score.
5. Once each team has played their three matches, scores will be tallied and the top 4 teams will make the playoff. Places will be decided by wins, with ties being sorted by gas cans collected.
6. The winner of each semi-final will move on to the final. All playoff games hold the same rules as round robin games.
