Kill TheCarpe Month!

It's a whole month of getting even with one of The Ville's most prominent melee fighters!

For the entire month of February, every melee kill you score against <TVB>TheCarpe will be recorded and scored based on a point system. There is no need to sign up, everyone with a forum account is eligible! The event has already begun, and runs until midnight VST February 28th!

At the end of the month, everyone's points will be tallied and the top Carpe killers will receive:

• First place winner will receive a game of their choice up to $30 gifted to them through Steam, as well as a custom-made GMod signature proclaiming your victory, and 10,000 forum points.
• Second place will receive a game of their choice up to $10 gifted to them through Steam and 5,000 forum points.
• Third place will receive 2,000 forum points.

Rules and general information:

• Kills will only be recorded on servers with 10 or more players.
• There are no points for assists. Either you get the kill, or you don’t
• Though I'll be spending most of my time visiting all the TF2 servers, I'll be counting melee weapon kills in CS:S and the occasional DoD:S as well.
• I'll be playing on the TF2 Fun Server also, but melee kills on that server gained by either admin interference (this includes FF being on) or RTD abilities will not count. Kills during the February MeleeMania will also not count.
• Different weapons have different point values, however these specific numbers will not be revealed until the event is over. Generally, the more difficult the kill, the higher the point value (as an example, Spy backstabs are worth 1/2 a point, while a non-backstab kill with a knife will earn you two points).
• Be creative: There are situations in which a kill with a melee weapon under specific circumstances will net you extra points. These, however, will also not be revealed until the end.
• What class I am playing makes no difference, nor will my killing you with a melee weapon affect your score.

It should be noted that to get these kills on me, you do need to get very near one vicious demon axe

If I can kill you with a taunt, do I automatically win? Taunts count as melee, yeah?

That's an excellent point, I hadn't considered taunt kills. You won't automatically win, but I'll consider adding them.
