No more Windows!

I ditched it for Linux and I love it.

Here's what I did:

Downloaded Ubuntu Ultimate: Feisty Fawn:

It was easy, just downloaded the disk ISO, burned it, threw it in the CD and it installed itself. There's also a Ultimate Gamer's edition there.

Installed WINE (WINE stands for Wine Is Not An Emulator) There was a bug in the version .9.38 on the ISO that prevented a connection to steam, so I just right-clicked on the package manager and forced an earlier version, (.9.37 or .9.39 works.)

Then I followed these directions:

Here's the result, I get a higher frame rate than I did with XP:

No more crashes, instability, errors, headaches and tons of free stuff. wewt!

I've heard some good things about Ubuntu Ultimate but haven't tried it myself. Been checking out Fedora 7 on my spare computer. Now I will have to try multi-booting.

From what I've read in some forums Beryl is on it's way out and Compiz will be taking over. But more or less they're the same thing.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did have some ninja assasins. If you were as loaded as he is, you can't tell me you wouldn't have ninja's on your side. I would be all like: "DO IT NOW!!! GET TO THE CHOPPA!!!"
