I'm not the DoD:S type actually, big 1.3 fan but just can't get into source but who knows, maybe I'll get sick of 1.3 someday.

Anyhow, do you guys do any competitive play? As in IGL, TPG or CAL? I'm looking to get on another team (most likely as an alternate rather than a starter, both because of skill and time restraints) since my old clan went kaput.

Most of us had been in 1.3 for years and are slowly migrating to the Source stuff. It's a nice change after so long on the old game. Plus you get rag doll! And uhh us elitists.. like mujo.. and uhh.. No more questions, go play source!

I dunno man, unless some of the updates have made the weapons more to my liking then I just can't stand source. I haven't played it in a while, my old roommate had it and I played some on his PC but never got into it enough to buy it. I think I'm gonna end up being one of the last 1.3 players, endlessly searching for a server that isn't filled with bots. ;D

Have you played it since the modified cone of fire has gotten popular? It makes the guns act alot like 1.3! TBH I had a hard time with source until they came out with a good COF. We run it on both our DoDS servers.

Give it another shot on server #1, I promise you'll have fun



As far a competitive play, we dont partake. We have an occasional tournament, but thats as far as we go. We are here for fun and friends. You wont find any hostile people here. They get the boot real quick lol.

Good deal, it could very well be that Source has gotten to the point where it won't frustrate me but I still haven't bought it and don't really have the spare cash right now.

As for the competitive angle, I'm not a super competitive player (ie. no real trash talk, maybe a little but all in good fun, don't get mad or anything like that) but I dig scrimin. That's not gonna stop me from playing here though, real fun server.

I'm glad you guys take care of things though, nothing gets as annoying as a bunch of people being belligerent

Lol, I only get belligerent after I have been drinking. By that time I forget how to operate a computer (even though I work with them all day... which is probably the reason I drink in the first place... damn user-error!)

Welcome Roark, We do have tournaments here once in a while, It's friendly competition though. You should stick around and when one rolls around play in it!

OMG! It's like you are really me!

Though I'm generally a happy drunk, unless it's a day that involves (many) user-errors or shoddy tech support ("No dude, that isn't going to do a thing. How long have you been in support? I think I know more about this program that you!") or "mystery" problems.

Or if it's a day I'm working on healthcare. I HATE working on healthcare crap.
