No point in paying for and maintaining a server no one plays on.

Just how long were you away for?
Carpe has been an admin for quite some time now
DoD1.3 was turned off because no-one played on it.

haha... was last really active in the 2007 ville cup for DoD. But basically stopped after that.

My my, welcome back after a long period away. Indeed, you should try out Dog's wicked Left4DoD mod. It should satiate your DOD desires, while actually drawing players.
