Repeated Disconnect from TV3

I'm having a problem with being disconnected from TV3, Day of Defeat 1.3. This happens several minutes after joining the server, without fail:

I have tried rejoining the server, restarting DoD, restarting Steam, and restarting Windows, all without a successful resolution. This error occurs when I play on some other DoD servers as well (sometimes it happens, sometimes not), but consistently disconnects on TV3.

I have read in the Steam DoD forums that closing Steam, deleting the ClientRegistry.blob file, then starting Steam could help. Is this safe and/or will it work? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Deleteing the ClientRegistry.blob is safe, I have had to do it on a number of occasions to fix Steam troubles similar to the one you're experiencing.

You can always make a backup/rename it then revert if you do have a problem. As I understand it it's kind of like deleting your config.txt for a Steam game, it will create a new one when you start the program.

This happens when Steam servers are being worked on. An update usually follows, then the server needs a reboot or the kicking will continue.

A quik PM to Dog and he will rcon in and fix. :)

I know I don't but still @_@ It's very difficult to communicate with people when you can't use the chat service built into the game's client. Trying to get the word out as best as I can...

It just adds a new element to Steam being ingenious.
