Need longer spec time limit

would it be possible to make the spectate time limit a tad longer? I like to make long demos of llamas for review and the current time limit doesn't let you get enough some times.

umm You can always drop out of the game server then go back in and go straight to spec and it is an indefinite spec time.

Noper...it's the same all the time, you (well I) get kicked in a few min. Kinda draws attention to yourself joining spec, getting kicked, reconnecting, joining spec, getting kicked..yada yada

I don’t think that’s a good idea. You may be doing it for good reason, but most people don’t. Having people sit in spec for long periods of time takes up slots for people who want to get on. Plus it offsets the teams. I kick people out who sit there for more than a few minutes anyway. Not sure what the time is set for, but I think it’s already to long.

I'll look at it. It is set to 5 minutes, right now and starts working when 8 or more players are on. I'll change the player number to maybe 16

Didn't you say also that it does not kick you if you never join a team, but the time limit starts if you go spec after being on a team - or is that Source engine games only?

For Source games only, as far as I know....never tried it with HL1...maybe it does work....I don't know.

Yes it doesn't kick you if you dont join a team...you can idle the server forever if you dont join.

If it's going to be a problem don't change anything, was just asking...since I like to make multiple demos of people I suspect of hacking, since they aren't always so blatant if they know you are watching...but normally they go back to their cheating ways or forget someone is watching and let something slip.
