I dont really care about the stats being reset too much, but I believe that is in the hands of people who run HLStatsX is it not? It is hosted on their server now, so as long as they can pump out millions of stats for thousands of servers and players, why bother resetting.

It's nice to see at a glance who the ville playas are, who's the scrumpy maniac (me ) and who the communities sniping or engie champ is.

I would like a clean slate ahem stat reset please.

Most people try to be modest and say "STATS DON'T REALLY MATTER TO ME."

Well, to me, they kinda do. There are some things I don't pay attention to, like how I have more deaths than kills, but that's due to the fact all I do is play Medic and Spy and not powerful classes like Soldier and heavy, so that doesn't really determine my skill level. But I do like to pay attention to how many times I've used a certain weapon, how often I play, player rank, who I've killed the most, etc.

It's sorta like a report card. They're all just numbers and they shouldn't really matter, it matters more if you're actually smart rather than if a piece of paper tells you you're smart.

But still.

Seeing all A's is kinda nice.

Having them reset would be like a teacher ripping up your report card and say "DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN!" and you have to retake all the tests, study all over again, do all the work, etc.

EDIT: But maybe, there could be individual stat reset buttons. For people who do want a clean slate. Perhaps you would have to type in your password or a different password you choose in order to activate it, to prevent those "accidental erases" or "hacked erases".
