An Opportunity To Make Some Quick Summer Cash

Post by Fleshwound » Mon Jun 16, 2008 12:27 am

If you see me playing TF2 (be sure to verify it's the real me by checking my steam_id from the stats page), I will ship you $100 through your medium of choice. This offer extends indefinitely, so don't worry if you're not the first person to call me on it. Obviously this is easier if you have happened to friend me prior to now =)

That bad huh? Wow, you are really going the length to cut down your playing time. Your first step is to find an alternative to TF2. TF2 is actually my alternative to WoW. Your second step is to take a vacation of sorts, far away from being able to play this game. Access to your computer will do you in.

I had my rough time during WoW. You can break it, but I am not sure if offering money to other players is the solution. The solution starts with you.

That doesn't appear to be the case, Yahoo.

Ok, what are you actually trying to do here?

If it is actually drastic measures to cut your playing time, ask a an admin to ban you from the servers for a couple of months instead of a voteban. No need to tick off other people while you are at.

Otherwise, if for a different reason then...
what the... :eh3:

Yeah, I wish I was a strong enough person to control myself this way. At this time, creating external forces is the best I can do for myself right now.

Well, then ask an admin to ban you. Bans don't always have to be used for discipline.

That, however, does not keep you from joining other servers.

Perhaps you need to uninstall TF2, or close your Steam account or something.

Not trying to tick people off. If I'm doing so, I apologize. The ban was a silly idea, and wouldn't have much of an effect, as it only limits me from these few servers.

It's no fun trying to break a game addiction. If you aren't in too deep, I'd say just uninstall TF2 and games that run the Source engine. Sometimes your urges aren't strong enough to outlast the pain and suffering of reinstalling a game. You could also try letting someone you trust (a lot) change your STEAM password. You won't lose your games and (hopefully) can access it again a ways down the road. If it were me, though, what you suggest with this post wouldn't help much. I'd just pray no one approached me about it and keep it a naughty little secret or just refuse to pay them in the end.

After a 6 month stint with WoW, my PSU went out 3 days later, i got a 2nd job, so i was working 70+ hours a week. I didnt have time for gaming or much less anything else.

Since TF2 came out my play time has gone from too many hours a day to not very many. I kinda played so much I didnt like to play very much any more.

My advice: get a job, or 2, and ALSO either uninstall TF2 and all Steam related paraphernalia or take a piece of your computer out and sell it or break it(I advice not to break it)
But putting your computer out of service is by far the best way to stop something like this.
