All you as villuns have a duty to keep the games as fun and fair as possible for everyone. With these new hacks out, I urge everyone to make sure they know how to contact an admin, and dont forget supporters can voteban people! Pretty much every one of our admins has TF2 so please add them to your friends list.

Read this post (if you haven't)
Getting help from an admin

Go to our Steampage and add the admins to your friends list from there
Ville Steam page

Here's the link to all the supporters (list is growing!)

Use the forums

Use the complaints Dept.

Use email and Instant messenger

My suggestion....

If you cant get an admin/supporter right away record a demo. For those of you unfamiliar with what a demo is, it's a recording of gameplay that you can control from the console in ALL half-life and half-life 2 games. You typically see these used as a tool for identifying and reporting hackers. You'll also see them used in clan matches and for regular game play footage.

The source engine provides a set of tools to record a game to a demo file, playback a recorded game and edit a demo file. Most of this info can be found here on Valve's official developer wiki. But for the sake of clarity, i will summarize the most important aspects of this feature set.

To record a demo, you need to type this into the console:
record "name"

To stop recording, type this into the console:
stop

To play the demo back type:
playdemo "name"

The demo file will be saved to:
C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\YOURACCOUNT\team fortress 2\tf

as a .dem

Default key for screenshots is F5, hit it any time you see something suspicious

BTW, an easier way to access the demos is to press Shift+F2 on the main menu of TF2 to bring up the Demo Menu. From here, you can select from a list the demo you want, jump to a certain point, and other such things.

Awesome post.

Added the active Admins from the page who have been playing TF2.

Just one question. When recording a demo is the command:

record "videoname" (with the quotes )

or

record videoname ( without the quotes )

?? :?

It's a demo, so you have to view it with the game. I think the command is: viewdemo "demoname"
Not sure if that applies to TF2 but that's it for DoD. To record to a regular video, watch the demo and record it with a program like Fraps. I think there's also a command to create an avi file from the console, but I've never tried it. :? Hope that helps a little.

Run Fraps while viewing the demo, Fraps converts it to mpeg or avi, then upload to YouTube.
