Very pleased to see that, in spite of the rather limited selection, my favourite map, Hydro, is present and doing very well!

Seriously, I think Hydro is still a much more popular map than people give it credit for, and it's only the lack of quickplay that is holding it back from relative popularity.

Was Warpath even ported back then? If you bother noticing, these are all the original maps, except Dustbowl. Btw, I applaud not including it.

It was not. This thread was started before TF2 was publicly released, on the one week mark of the pre-release beta period. Dustbowl was mistakenly left off, because the person starting the thread forgot about it. Like many, he didn't yet remember all the maps in the new-fangled game. Warpath and other customs did not exist, nor did most of the stock maps we have today.

Fun trivia: there are presently 66 stock maps and variants. Launch had just 6. The poll has 5 of them (well and granary are the CP versions - CTF versions didn't show up for 4 and 11 more months, respectively).
